Closing the Gaps: Social, Economic and Political

Los Cien will launch its first-ever Latino Scorecard at the 6th Annual State of the Latino Community Address in Sonoma County, which is focused on "closing the gaps". The Latino Scorecard includes ten high-level, public-facing indicators that highlight opportunities and disparities within the Latino community in the following areas:

• Equity and diversity in political power
• Education
• Financial stability
• Neighborhood engagement
• Health and the environment

Los Cien will use the Scorecard to engage community stakeholders to build knowledge on major factors (both positive and negative, and historical/contextual) contributing to indicator trends, to identify key partners who can collaborate to close the gap on disparities, and to identify solutions to address entrenched and persistent community disparities (easy wins as well as longer-term strategies that address systemic issues).
