Join Community Choice Agency (CCA) experts and leaders from across the state for a day-long Symposium about accelerating local energy resource development via CCAs, sharing best practices, and creating more benets for local communities on May 31st. There will also be a pre-Symposium workshop on the afternoon of May 30th on distributed energy resource deployments that build local resiliency, provide customer services, and contribute to local economic strength.
Last year ten new Community Choice agencies began operations, bringing the total to nineteen in California. At the same time, the industry is experiencing unprecedented growth, it faces the challenge of cost increases for utility exit fees. This forces CCAs to do more with less for their programs and operations. At the same time, CCAs need a strategy to change the legislative and regulatory context so that they can thrive and help the state meet its ambitious carbon emissions reduction goals. The Symposium will explore these opportunities and challenges with the experts in the field.
Who should attend: Community Choice agency operators and advocates, elected officials, electric service providers, cleantech entrepreneurs, businesses in the renewable energy industry and anyone interested in the clean energy economy.
