Technical Assistance Advisory Program

Daily business operations can be challenging. Navigating through the various energy efficiency upgrades and incentives can be complex. To aid businesses, SCP has developed the Technical Assistance Advisory Program (TAAP).

Helping to improve your energy efficiency

Evaluating existing energy infrastructure and implementing efficiency measures can help businesses improve working conditions and reduce operational costs. Through evaluation and analysis of facility systems, business equipment, and operational practices, SCP customers can identify cost effective solutions to improve their business.

SCP has partnered with the County of Sonoma Energy and Sustainability Division to conduct technical assistance and advisory services to evaluate and advise about the best path forward. A TAAP audit will provide the information needed to:

  • Establish a baseline of electrical infrastructure in order to identify improvements and achieve optimization
  • Effectively understand equipment upgrade options and develop a cost-savings strategy to reduce electricity bill
  • Provide recommendations for short and long-term retrofits to achieve customer goals

TAAP is offered at no cost to a limited number of SCP customers, giving commercial operations the starting point they need to improve their bottom lines, while optimizing their energy consumption, and the opportunity to lower their greenhouse gas emissions.

Qualifying for TAAP

TAAP is provided at no cost and is available to small and medium-sized commercial customers of SCP.

What to expect as a participating business

A preliminary phone call to assess goals and needs

  • Review of energy usage, equipment documentation, and customer operations
  • Facilitation of a customer "self-walk-through" via video recording/call (due to local heath order) or physical site visit if feasible.
  • A final report recommending upgrades, available incentives, and other next steps
