Working closely with his Sonoma Clean Power colleagues, CB Hall is responsible for ensuring that SCP meets all of its compliance obligations, many of which deal with the reliability, transparency and environmental attributes of SCP’s power supply portfolio: Resource Adequacy, Renewables Portfolio Standard, Power Source Disclosure, Integrated Resource Planning, etc.
Before joining SCP, CB spent seven years at PG&E where his work included the following: monitoring CAISO’s wholesale electricity markets and proposing design changes; analyzing the economics of PG&E’s hydroelectric fleet; managing a team of civil, mechanical and electrical engineers responsible for inspecting/testing and risk-scoring PG&E’s hydroelectric fleet; ensuring compliance associated with wholesale generation interconnections to PG&E’s distribution circuits.
CB began his career at Morgan Stanley, where he worked for three years as an analyst in prime brokerage. After Morgan Stanley, CB took on a nine month assignment – through TechnoServe – working as the financial manager of a cashew farm in rural KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. CB holds a BA in economics from Brown University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
