Fellow of the U.S. Department of Energy, Solar Energy Innovator Program
Eric Scheier is a Fellow of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Energy Innovator Program. His role includes evaluating household energy burdens and the impacts of distributed energy resources on equity among Sonoma Clean Power’s customers.
Eric has dedicated both his personal and professional career to ensuring an equitable energy transition. His extensive experience in the renewable energy and utility industries include positions as an independent consultant, published researcher, and founder of a not-for-profit committed to eradicating energy poverty.
Eric holds a BSc. in Environmental Science and Economics and an MSc. in Ecology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
