Strategic Energy Resource Manager
Amit Ranjan is the Strategic Energy Resource Manager at Sonoma Clean Power. In this role, he focuses on enhancing resource management and integrating renewable energy solutions, such as geothermal, wind, and solar, to support SCP's mission of delivering clean, locally sourced energy.
Amit is a registered Professional Engineer in Iowa and before joining SCP, he served as Senior Manager of Development at NextEra Energy Transmission, where he contributed to strategy and execution, performed transmission analysis, and submitted bid proposals for competitive projects in the MISO region.
Amit's experience includes a long tenure at Alliant Energy from 2010 to 2023, where he played a pivotal role in transmission planning and renewable energy integration. His leadership in managing large-scale renewable projects and strategic planning has been a highlight of his career, contributing to advancing grid reliability and renewable energy integration. He holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Lamar University in Texas and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Institute of Engineering in Kathmandu, Nepal.
