This year, the North Bay Business Journal recognized 109 companies throughout Marin, Napa, Solano, and Sonoma counties that have been affirmed by their employees as exemplary workplaces.
Despite still being a relatively new agency, SCP has more than doubled in staff and grown an impressive list of accomplishments since first launching in 2014.
We started with a bare-bones office and staff, and in five short years have built a team of amazing, talented and brilliant people that keep providing service to our communities and battling climate change as top priorities.
CEO of Sonoma Clean Power
While SCP’s main goal is to provide more affordable and cleaner electricity services to residents and businesses, we also dedicate a large portion of our resources to finding ways to give back and reinvest in the communities that we serve.
In addition to our Community Outreach Program, which includes sponsorships, speaking invitations, participation at events, local board appointments, and donations to local groups and causes, all SCP employees receive four hours per month to volunteer at a nonprofit of their choice.
SCP’s culture of community investment further carries over to how we, as an agency, support our staff. Employees receive tuition and textbook reimbursement, a wellness benefit, life-event leave, catastrophic event time-sharing, personal and professional development opportunities, and team-building activities.
