Senior Risk Manager, Regulatory Affairs
Adam Jorge serves as Senior Risk Manager, Regulatory Affairs for Sonoma Clean Power (SCP). Adam works to ensure that SCP and its customers are adequately represented in policymaking discussions across key California State Agencies, including the Energy Commission, Air Resources Board, and Public Utilities Commission.
Adam is an interdisciplinary environmental professional with nearly 15 years of experience working in the environmental sector. As a pollution prevention and remediation specialist, Adam has worked on issues spanning energy systems, water quality, air pollution and carbon management, toxic materials reduction, land management, wildfire restoration and mitigation, and more. He aims to leverage his scientific and technical background into responsible policy development.
Prior to joining Sonoma Clean Power, he worked as a Regulatory Affairs Manager with Sempra's California Utilities to advance sustainability and decarbonization policies throughout the state. In the past, Adam served as a Physical Scientist and National Coordinator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. and Region 9 office in San Francisco.
Adam's education includes a B.A. in Political Science from CSU Stanislaus and a Master of Environmental Science and Management (MESM) from UC Santa Barbara; he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Management of Complex Systems at UC Merced. Adam holds a Sustainability Excellence Associate credential from the International Society of Sustainability Professionals and serves on the Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation’s Board of Directors.
