Sonoma Clean Power is leading an effort to build 600 megawatts of new, next-generation geothermal energy in Sonoma and Mendocino counties over the next decade.
This is one of the most significant projects in our region's recent history. This Town Hall is an opportunity to learn more and get involved.
The goal of this initiative, known as the Geothermal Opportunity Zone or GeoZone, is to secure a long-term supply of affordable, reliable clean energy for our customers while helping to fight the global climate crisis.
At the Cloverdale Veterans Memorial Building, on Thursday, February 6th, from 6-7:30 PM, we’ll discuss the potential benefits and impacts of next-generation geothermal energy on our local and state climate goals, grid reliability, energy affordability, local jobs, and more. This event will be in partnership with District 4 Supervisor James Gore, City of Cloverdale Mayor Todd Lands, and others.
Food and beverages will be provided
Doors open at 5:30 pm
