In partnership with our customers, we’ve reduced energy usage and carbon emissions. Our community is a healthier place, thanks to you.

If you decide to opt out before service begins, or within the first 60 days, there is no fee and you may return to Sonoma Clean Power at any time. If you opt out 60 or more days after SCP service begins, you will be charged a one-time termination fee of $5 per residential account or $25 per commercial account. All customers will also be subject to PG&E’s terms and conditions of service, which will prohibit you from returning to SCP for a full year after your opt out date. You’ll miss out on SCP’s local benefits and greenhouse gas savings!

What happens to my account if I decide to opt out of Sonoma Clean Power?

A

It is important to note that Sonoma Clean Power electric generation charges are NOT extra or additional charges. When a customer decides to opt out of SCP, they will continue to pay for the generation services but now to PG&E instead of SCP.

Can I re-enroll in SCP if I previously opted out?

If you decide to opt out before service begins, or within the first 60 days, you can return to Sonoma Clean Power at any time. Customers who opt out 60 days after SCP service starts are subject to PG&E’s terms and conditions and can't return to SCP for one year.

As a not-for-profit agency, we don’t have shareholders, meaning our revenues go back into community programs that serve YOU. As an independent, local agency, we believe in the power of choice.
