GeoZone Town Hall Meeting | Sonoma Clean Power

GeoZone Town Hall Meeting

25th Jul 2024, 5:30pm - 8:00pm

SCP's Customer Center

741 Fourth Street, Santa Rosa

Sonoma Clean Power is leading an effort to build 600 megawatts of new, next-generation geothermal energy in Sonoma and Mendocino counties over the next decade.

This is one of the most significant projects in our region's recent history. This Town Hall is an opportunity to learn more and get involved.

The goal of this initiative, known as the Geothermal Opportunity Zone or GeoZone, is to secure a long-term supply of affordable, reliable clean energy for our customers while helping to fight the global climate crisis.

At the Sonoma Clean Power Customer Center in downtown Santa Rosa, on Thursday, July 25, from 6-8 PM, we’ll discuss the potential benefits and impacts of next-generation geothermal energy on our local and state climate goals, grid reliability, energy affordability, local jobs, and more.

The event will feature welcome remarks from Sonoma Clean Power’s CEO, an overview of the GeoZone initiative, and a panel discussion with experts in the field. All are welcome to attend in person or virtually, and there will be time for audience Q&A and comments.
