SCP partnered with GRID Alternatives, a national non-profit organization, to offer no-cost rooftop solar electric systems to our eligible low-income customers!
Thanks to a rebate from the State of California, our partnership will bring the benefits of solar technology to families in need of financial savings, helping them save 50-90% on their electricity bill.
This past June, SCP sent letters to customers who could potentially qualify for a no-cost solar system, and we are pleased to report that 14 of our customers will be moving forward with new rooftop solar systems through this program.
Additionally, the solar installations will provide valuable job training and hands-on experience for GRID Alternatives’ volunteers.
GRID Alternatives is a national leader in making clean, affordable solar power and solar jobs accessible in low-income communities and communities of color. Since 2004, they have helped California implement several of its groundbreaking low-income solar programs.
