Principal Compliance Analyst


Brian Goldman is the Principal Compliance Analyst at Sonoma Clean Power. His responsibilities include leading compliance filings, contributing to the development of risk oversight practices, and assisting with regulatory planning.

Mr. Goldman has a decade of experience across multiple sectors of the energy industry. Prior to his current role at SCP, Brian was a Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst with the Public Advocates Office (Cal Advocates) of the California Public Utilities Commission. At Cal Advocates, Brian was the lead analyst on the Distribution Resources Plan proceeding, the investor-owned utility Data Access Plan proceeding, and the SmartMeter deployment opt-out policy proceeding in PacifiCorp’s service territory. Brian also worked on Long Term Procurement Planning, Rule 21 Interconnection, SmartGrid development, and Electric Vehicle Integration matters. Prior to Cal Advocates, Brian was a regulatory and policy consultant for CleanPath Ventures where he researched once-through cooling plant retirement impacts.

Brian holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Southern California, and a J.D. from UC Davis School of Law.
