Asset Manager
In his role as Asset Manager, Carter is responsible for optimizing the performance and value of Sonoma Clean Power’s diverse energy portfolio. He oversees asset performance and financial outcomes across SCP’s long-term contracts and actively manages market participation through data analysis, forecasting, and strategic bidding in California’s wholesale energy markets. Carter also provides analytical and modeling support for SCP’s power procurement activities, helping inform asset strategy, valuation, and operational decision-making.
Carter holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Prior to SCP, Carter worked as an Energy Solutions Engineer for Xcel Energy in Minneapolis, MN, where he provided engineering support to demand side management and conservation programs designed to meet energy savings and carbon free goals.
